No. Test requests entered in the hospital system arrive directly in Silabmed, with no re-entry by the clinician or the laboratory.
Do results arrive in our patient record, or do we have to look for them in other software?
They arrive in your patient record. Validated results are sent back to it automatically, where the clinician already works.
Does the invoice follow the result into the record?
Yes. The matching invoices are sent back with the validated results to the patient record.
We already have an HIS from another vendor.
That is not an obstacle. Integration is native with AyidaHMS, and the same integration is possible with any standards-compliant HIS or EHR. The list of systems already integrated is presented during the demonstration.

Do results and invoices go back to the patient record?
Yes. When Silabmed is integrated with your HIS or EHR, validated results and the matching invoices are sent back automatically to the patient record. Clinicians see them where they already work, without searching in other software. This applies to AyidaHMS, through native integration, and to any standards-compliant HIS or EHR.
What is the difference between analyzer interfacing and patient record integration?
Analyzer interfacing, provided by the Silabmed Lab Interface module, connects instruments to the LIS: results move from the analyzer to the laboratory, with no re-entry. Patient record integration connects Silabmed to the hospital system: requests arrive from the order, and validated results and invoices go back to the patient record. The two work together.
Is Silabmed already integrated with a public health system?
Yes. For laboratories in Quebec, Silabmed meets the requirements of the DSQ (Dossier santé Québec, the Quebec health record) and transmits test results to the DSQ every day, automatically, with no manual work by the laboratory. This integration with a province-wide health record comes in addition to the native integration with AyidaHMS and interoperability with any standards-compliant HIS or EHR.
